Last Day of Long Weekend: Beware of Thunderstorms and Intense Heatwave!

As the long weekend in Japan comes to its end, the Meteorological Department has issued high alerts for thunderstorms and intense heatwave across the country. Citizens are being urged to take precautions against the weather conditions, especially those residing in regions with a high risk of storm-associated disasters, and the elderly, children, or people with chronic health conditions who are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses. Drinking plenty of water and staying in air-conditioned areas is being highly recommended.

Japan is a country that experiences extreme weather conditions quite frequently. From heatwaves during summer to typhoons and rainfall during other seasons, citizens are often on high alert. In this context, weather news and safety precautions are not taken lightly. They are widely broadcast across all forms of media so that all citizens can be informed and take necessary precautions. It's particularly crucial during holidays and long weekends when many people are likely to be outdoors.

Like Japan, the US and EU also experience extreme weather conditions and warnings are taken very seriously. There is a strong emphasis on public safety and ensuring the public is well-informed of potential dangers. In the EU, the Met Office issues color-coded alerts to signify the level of danger, while in the US, the National Weather Service provides real-time updates and safety precautions.
